The Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning associations (REHVA), published an updated guidance on How to operate and use building services in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) virus (SARS-CoV-2) in workplaces. This document suggests changes to operation of the HVAC systems in order to “prevent the spread of COVID-19 depending on HVAC or plumbing systems related factors”. The recommendations addressed are mainly to stop air recirculation and to increase the inflow of outdoor air.
